校慶系列活動 - 聖若瑟教區中學第五校《看我今天怎麼說》電影欣賞會

    本校於2025年3月16日舉辦《看我今天怎麼說》電影欣賞會,共有六十位聾人、健聽老師、家長及學生一同參加觀影。該電影講述聾人的生活故事,在無聲的世界中,尋找突破聲音的隔閡,傳遞尊重與接納的重要性。活動不僅讓教師們得以深入了解聾人文化及日常生活,更能體現學校對融合教育的重視,特別是對聾/弱聽學生教育的支持。

    本校長期致力於推動融合教育,自2018年起推行「手語雙語共融教育計劃」,旨在通過手語與口語的教育模式,促進聾/弱聽學生與健聽學生的多元學習,讓學生在共融的教育環境下,學習共融共存,並建立全面共融的教育體系。

    透過此次觀賞電影的音效,嘉賓及老師們回饋能體會到學生即使戴上聽覺輔具後仍可能面臨的限制,進一步了解聾/弱聽人士的需求,反思如何在日常教學中更好地照顧學生不同的差異。本校期望透過舉辦此類活動,提升對融合教育的關注,讓每位學生都能在包容與尊重的環境中成長。

    A movie appreciation for the award-winning movie – "The Way We Talk" was held on March 16, 2025. The movie attracted sixty hearing teachers, deaf teachers, parents, and students. The movie not only portrays the life stories of deaf individuals, exploring how they break through the barriers of sound in the silent world, but it also highlights the importance of respect and acceptance. The teachers gained a deeper understanding of deaf culture and the daily life of deaf people. The event demonstrated the school's commitment to providing inclusive education, particularly in supporting the education of deaf and hard-of-hearing students.

    Our school has long been dedicated to promoting inclusive education. Since 2018, we have implemented the "Sign Bilingualism and Co-enrolment Education Programme," which aims to foster diverse learning for both deaf/hard-of-hearing and hearing students through the use of signed language and spoken language. This approach allows students to learn and grow together in an inclusive education environment, fostering mutual understanding and coexistence while building a comprehensive, inclusive education system.

    The film's sound effects, guests, and teachers gained insight into the potential limitations that students may still face even after wearing hearing aids, deepening their understanding of the needs of deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. Besides, it also encouraged teachers’ reflection on how to better accommodate students' needs in daily teaching practices. We hope that by organizing such events, we can raise awareness of inclusive education and ensure that every student grows up in an inclusive and loving environment.
